This page covers account features: creating an account, signing in, email verification, password changes, account settings, and recovery.
Creating an account
Go to 20dragons.com and choose Create account. You will be asked for:
- an email address (required);
- a password, at least 8 characters (required);
- a display name (optional).
Note
Account registration can be temporarily closed to the public. If you see a message that registration is currently closed, you can still sign in if you already have an account.
Email verification
After creating an account, you must verify your email address before you can sign in. You cannot use your account, even in a limited way, until it is verified.
You will receive a verification email with a link. The link is valid for 24 hours. If you try to sign in before verifying, you will see a message asking you to verify your email first, with an option to resend the verification email.
If you do not receive the verification email, see I did not receive a verification email.
Signing in and out
Use Sign in to access your account. You can sign out from your account menu once you are signed in.
If your sign-in fails, 20dragons shows a general "Invalid login" message rather than saying specifically whether the email or the password was wrong. This is intentional and does not mean anything is broken.
Changing your password
You can change your password from Change password while signed in. You will need your current password, and your new password must be different from your current one.
Note
Changing your password signs out your other active sessions and invalidates your Web API token, if you have one. See API authentication.
Password recovery
If you forget your password, use Password recovery on the sign-in page. For privacy, the confirmation message is the same whether or not the email address has an account. The reset link is valid for 1 hour and can only be used once.
Resetting your password does not turn off two-factor authentication — if you have it enabled, you will still need it to sign in afterward.
Account settings
Profile lets you manage: display name, company name, timezone, default landing page, table density (Compact or Comfortable), rows per page, and notification preferences (Subdomain and DNS, Transfers, Support, API activity, Product news). Security alert notifications cannot be turned off. Your email address and customer number are shown here but are read-only; change your email from Account security.
Account security lets you manage:
- two-factor authentication — see Two-factor authentication;
- your email address (enter a new address and your current password; a confirmation link is sent to the new address, and the change only applies once you confirm it; a pending change can be cancelled);
- your active sessions (revoke an individual session, or sign out of all other sessions at once);
- a read-only log of recent sign-in and two-factor activity.
Identity verification
Some accounts may see an Identity verification option, hosted by Stripe. 20dragons stores only the verification reference and status, not the documents themselves.
