This guide takes you from having no account to a registered subdomain you can manage.

1. Create or sign in to an account

Go to 20dragons.com and choose to sign in, or create a new account if you do not have one yet.

The exact sign-up fields and any required email verification step are being confirmed against the current sign-up form. See Account for details once available.

2. Verify your account, if required

Some accounts may need to confirm an email address before they can register a subdomain. If you are asked to verify your account, follow the instructions in the verification email.

3. Browse available platform domains

20dragons offers subdomain registration under a set of platform domains. See Platform domains for the domains currently available.

4. Choose a subdomain

A subdomain is the part you choose, placed in front of a platform domain. For example, if example-domain.com is a platform domain and you choose the label myproject, your subdomain would be myproject.example-domain.com.

5. Register it

Submit your registration. Depending on the platform domain and the type of registration (free or premium), your subdomain may become active immediately or may show as pending while it is reviewed. See Registration review.

6. Manage it from My subdomains

After registration, your subdomain appears in My subdomains. From there you can view its status and manage the settings that are available to you. See My subdomains.

Terminology

  • Domain / platform domain — a domain offered by 20dragons that you can register a subdomain under.
  • Subdomain — the address you register, made of your chosen label plus a platform domain (for example myproject.example-domain.com).
  • Label — the part you choose, before the platform domain.
  • Free registration — a subdomain registered at no cost, subject to the limits described in Free registrations.
  • Premium registration — a subdomain registered using credits. See Premium and credits.
  • Credits — the balance used for premium registrations.
